Power Line Sentry’s universal bushing and equipment covers are engineered to insulate and protect a wide variety of energized equipment - including transformer bushings, reclosers, and other exposed connection points commonly referred to as “danger zones”. These vulnerable areas are frequently responsible for animal-related outages, especially involving squirrels, rats, raccoons, opossums, and birds.

Crafted from high-performance, UV-stable, UL 94 V-0 flame-retardant materials, each cover resists ozone, moisture, and environmental wear - ensuring reliable long-term performance in the field. The clam-shell style design adapts to various equipment shapes and sizes while maintaining a tight, self-locking fit without the need for push pins or hardware.

The result is a cover that not only fully insulates energized surfaces up to 35 kV, but also prevents intrusion from insects and debris that can lead to flashovers or gradual insulation failure. These covers are hotstick-installable, allowing for fast installation with zero system downtime, and certain models are also infrared-friendly, enabling utilities to perform thermal inspections without removal.
