Power Line Sentry’s cutout covers are engineered to insulate the exposed energized areas of both standard and loadbreak cutouts, offering a critical line of defense against wildlife-induced electrocutions and service interruptions. Whether the risk comes from squirrels, rats, raccoons, opossums, or birds, these covers offer a proven mitigation strategy to maintain grid reliability and reduce outages, including those frequently attributed to “unknown causes.”

What sets these covers apart is their field-adjustable neck, making them the only adjustable cutout covers in the industry. This design ensures a tight, secure fit, which is essential to prevent contamination from insects, dirt, or moisture that could otherwise lead to flashover events or gradual equipment degradation.

The open form allows natural insulator self-cleaning and visual inspection without removal, and it accommodates loadbreak tools during operation. Designed for fast installation with no pins or clips required, the cover self-locks into place and is fully hotstick-compatible—allowing for quick deployment with zero system downtime.

Each unit is rated for up to 35 kV insulation and is compatible with major utility cutout systems from ABB, Hubbell Chance, MacLean, Aluma-Form, and others.
