Why insulate overhead pole hardware?
Insulating energized equipment and its appropriate components reduces the potential of a power outage and increases the reliability of the electricity being distributed.
Power outages occur when the flow of power is disrupted. By covering, or insulating, energized electrical infrastructure components - including wires, equipment, hardware and more - the flow of power is protected from unwanted interference. With a protected flow of power, wildlife and the surrounding environment are also simultaneously protected.

Insulating equipment from wildlife interference
Insulating to prevent power outages caused by wildlife and the environment can be complex, but Power Line Sentry provides a wide range of covers to insulate energized power pole equipment and components while concurrently protecting the wildlife and the nature in the area. From cutout covers and bushing covers, from insulator/conductor covers to high visibility line hose covers, all of our products are always (truly) hotstick friendly, V-0 flame retardant certified, and designed for a secure and tight fit on whatever equipment its covering. Our hard covers are made of the highest quality polycarbonates and our flexible covers (i.e., conductor covers, line hose) are made from best in class silicone.

Universal and Secure Covers
Insulating is a very technical project and using a cover that is appropriately sized is vital.
A cover cannot be too tight nor should a cover be loose. (A loose cover's movement can damage the very equipment its insulating). It needs to protect the flow of energy and surrounding air gaps, and it needs to remain in its exact position despite environmental conditions including weather and climate events. Power Line Sentry universal covers are installed to be snug and secure in position for longevity on a wide range of equipment, models and manufactures. These are universal solutions that are verstile, durable and reliable.
Installation is quick, easy, and safe. Power Line Sentry covers are very simple to install manually or with a hot stick - no locking pins. Our covers are developed in collaboration with engineers and operations teams and are precision engineered to provide an efficient experience.
Universal Bushing and Equipment Covers
Power Line Sentry Universal Bushing and Equipment Covers fit such a wide range of equipment that we had to rename this product line to include 'equipment cover' rather than just the traditional 'bushing cover'. Thanks to its unique clamshell design and (very) user friendly hot stick compatible eye screw these covers fir transformer bushings, capacitors, potheads, primary metering, arrestor caps, regulators, reclosers and more.

Universal Cutout Covers
Power Line Sentry Standard and Loadbreak Cutout Covers are designed for a tight and secure yet versatile fit. Our Standard Cutout Cover (CT-D02) features adjustable clips to change the internal diameter and provide a secure fit around the throat of the cutout; while our Loadbreak Cutout Cover features the Raptor Claw™ roto-style locking clip that tightens around the throat of the loadbreaking cutout.
These covers fit most 100 and 200 amp 27kV non-loadbreak style and load-break style cutouts including ABB, MacLean, Hubbell-Chance, Aluma-Form, Cooper-Easton, and S&C.

Flexible Insulator Covers
Power Line Sentry provides the only flexible insulator/conductor cover in the industry. Our covers provide superior coverage per APLIC recommendations to prevent potential interference from phase-to-phase and phase-to-ground contact, and they are durable and secure even in extreme climate events including hurricanes and storms.

Rip stop™ Insulating Line Hose
Not all silicone line hose is created equally. Silicone has incredible insulation properties but often the use of fillers or additives can break down when exposed to natural elements, which can negatively impact the integrity of the material and its insulation capabilities. Power Line Sentry's best in class insulating silicone line hose - both our standard grey Rip Stop and our high-visibility Enviroguard insulating line hose - is tear resistnt, durable, and reliable.
